The system's components are very robust and designed to work in difficult conditions. The membranes are highly resistant for operation under harsh conditions (waste water treatment) for more than 3 years with no change in performance . Apart from the membranes the hand pump is specifically designed for its mission (with a double diaphragm) and is designed for pumping millions of liters. All other components for the valves and fittings are of standard composition .

The flows of the pump are for drinking water are. 8 liters/minute average . The hourly and daily flows depend on how often the operator uses the but our experience shows that the pump can be used reliably for 8 hours/day

Our activities in the area of Mozambique began a year ago with an initial prototype, from which we learned about the special problems of such application. Then we made three prototype facilities in various facilities, about 7 months ago in Ghana. We provided the finished units in November to these villages. The results are simply stunning. Before installing the facilities were severely water-related diseases (diarrhea , dysentery etc.), diseases which disappeared after the installation of the pumps.
